Urology Services

UAB Urology specializes in diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the genitourinary tract, which includes both the urinary and reproductive systems. Our multidisciplinary team of urologists, radiation and medical oncologists, nurse practitioners, and urology nurses and technicians work together to provide the best diagnosis and treatment options available for male and female adult and pediatric patients.

Over the past 40 years, Urology at UAB has continued to expand its clinical care capabilities while pioneering many important advances. Our urologists have completed fellowship training in their respective areas of urologic expertise, including urologic cancer, minimally invasive surgery (including DaVinci robotic surgery), stone disease, female, reconstruction, incontinence, infertility, pediatrics, and general urology. The department is dedicated to offering the finest residency and fellowship educational programs, performing advanced research studies in clinical areas, and providing the most current and comprehensive care available to our patients.

UAB Urology is heavily invested in community outreach, facilitating the urologic care of all demographic populations throughout Alabama and surrounding states. We are committed to and involved in many clinical trials, including those sponsored by the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group and National Institutes of Health, as well as industry-sponsored studies such as the regeneration of urinary bladders.
