Liposarcoma

Liposarcoma is a malignant soft tissue tumor. It can be found anywhere in the body where soft tissue is present, including muscles, tendons,  connective tissue, fat, blood vessels, and nerve and joint tissue, but it is most often found in the abdominal cavity or limbs, such as the thigh or upper arm. There are many types of liposarcoma. It usually doesn't spread beyond its location and may exist for a long time before being discovered. The cause is unknown but may be linked to genetics and inherited diseases. Liposarcoma is rare and can affect anyone, but it most often affects adults age 50 to 65. It is the most common form of soft tissue sarcoma in adults.
