This care model is a reality at UAB. Expectant mothers are able to have a roundtable discussion with a partnership of the highly specialized physicians they may require based on their baby’s specific needs. This team will work together to provide multidisciplinary, comprehensive care for mother and for baby prior to birth. This eliminates multiple appointments to see specialists individually and allows the patient the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers from a team of doctors.

And, because we are the only multidisciplinary prenatal diagnosis clinic in Alabama, we can provide services not available at other medical facilities in the state.
