The Allergy and Asthma Clinic, located at UAB Medicine Gardendale Primary & Specialty Care, is dedicated to providing patients of all ages with quality, efficient, and comprehensive asthma and allergy care. Conditions diagnosed and treated include:
- Allergic rhinitis (hay fever)
- Atopic dermatitis (eczema)
- Asthma
- Drug allergy
- Food allergy
- Stinging insect allergy
- Angioedema and urticaria (swelling, hives)
- Eosinophilic esophagitis (inflammation in the esophagus)
Services available at the clinic include:
- Skin prick and blood allergy testing
- Lung function testing
- Allergy injections
- Biologic injections to treat asthma, eczema, and nasal polyps
- Treatment for food challenges
- On-site laboratory services
- Complete imaging services, including chest X-ray and CT scans
- A fully staffed Emergency Department
