The Emergency Department at UAB Hospital-Highlands located on the UAB campus within the UAB Hospital-Highlands general acute care facility, the Emergency Department shares UAB Medicine’s expansive range of expertise and resources. It is staffed 24/7 by experienced UAB Medicine doctors, specialists, and nurses, and it features the most advanced testing, monitoring, and treatment technology available today. Our Emergency Department is the first accredited Level 1 Geriatric Emergency Department in the southeast.

PARKING

For your convenience, the hospital provides accessible and convenient complimentary parking directly in front of the main entrance, with additional parking available across 13th Street South. Our security staff provides a shuttle service for patients and guests from the parking areas. In addition, patients can be dropped off and picked up under the main canopy on 11th Avenue South.
