For women who do not have health insurance, are underinsured , or who have or qualify for Maternity Medicaid, you can choose to receive prenatal care in one of our conveniently-located neighborhood satellite Maternity Clinics. Patients receive personalized care from skilled, knowledgeable providers backed by the resources of UAB Medicine. Our providers partner with your care coordinator and with our high-risk providers at the Obstetrical Complications clinic should your prenatal care become not so routine. These partnerships ensure all of your prenatal and future parenting needs are addressed throughout your pregnancy and specialized care is there for you and your unborn baby if needed.
When the time comes, you will deliver your baby at our new state-of-the-art UAB Women & Infants Center. The Center is staffed by a team of obstetric specialists providing 24-hour personal care during your delivery and recovery time. If necessary, the obstetrics team has instant access to Alabama's most advanced nursery, the UAB Regional Newborn Intensive Care Unit. The Women & Infants Center is also connected via sky bridges to the new Children's of Alabama Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children. To make an appointment, call one of the clinics below.
