Physician Directory

Locate information for a specific physician by using the search feature:
Type the physician’s last name into the search field and click the “Search” button to the right. This will give you a list of physicians with the last name you are searching. . If your search is not satisfactory, click on “New Search” to reset the directory.

Locate a physician by searching diseases treated:
Type the name of the disease (i.e.: arthritis, asthma, emergency medicine or pediatric oncology), in the search box and click the “Search” button to the right. If your search is not satisfactory, click on “New Search” to reset the directory.

Locate a physician by searching by specialty:
Type the name of the specialty in the search box and click the “Search” button to the right. If your search is not satisfactory, click on “New Search” to reset the directory.

Browsing by physician specialty will return the same results. See below.

Browse physicians by UAB Health System facility locations:
To return results for physicians who practice at a certain UAB Health System facility, click on the arrow in the drop-down menu below “Browse by Facility Location” and select a facility to view all physicians who practice at the facility chosen.

To narrow the browsed results for the facility location you selected, you may also use the search box to search for a physician by first or last name, specialty and diseases treated. If your search is not satisfactory, click on “New Search” to reset the directory.

Browse by physician specialty:
To return results for physicians by specialty, click on the arrow in the drop-down menu below “Browse by Physician Specialty” and choose a specialty.

To narrow the browsed results for the physician specialty you selected, you may also use the search box to search for a physician by first or last name, specialty and diseases treated. If your search is not satisfactory, click on “New Search” to reset the directory.

How to make an appointment with a physician you have found in our directory:
Click on the Make an Appointment button to the right of the browse and search area or below the physician’s photo on their individual profile page. You may also make an appointment online or call UAB HealthFinder at 205-934-9999 or 800-822-8816.
